My Obsession With Photos
About Me & My Editing Philosophy
Photography has been an obsession of mine for a long time. I remember when I was a kid, I would often steal my family’s camcorder to capture whatever I saw as interesting. As I got older and was granted access to phones and actual cameras, my passion only grew. Though my passion would remain just that- a passion. It wasn’t until I found how to edit those photos where I truly became obsessed.
After high school, I jumped between a few college fields before settling on visual design. It was in this program where I found out how to use various photo editing tools and learn about digital art professionally. Now that I have graduated, I hope to show off my skills and share my love for digital art. It is a dream of mine to elicit a reaction in others that is similar to the feeling I get when I transform a photo. I love cameras because taking a photo can capture a moment for a lifetime, but I love the idea of re-imagining the moment more.
When I look at photos, I’m always thinking, “This moment is beautiful, but it could be so much more..." and, “What could I turn this into?”
When I’m not playing with photos, you’ll find me doing other creative things. Photos aren’t my only obsession, a lot of other art mediums consume my free time. I love drawing and recently I have been learning guitar and piano, but no matter the hobby, I am always searching for ways to improve. With all forms of art, I become obsessed and do everything I can to communicate my passion through my work.
